We at Dinair believe in giving back to the community. We would like to thank the makeup artists who donated their time and talent to help us achieve that goal recently, as we participated in some fun charitable events. Please look for us on television!
"Say Yes to the Prom", a show patterned after the popular Discovery Communications/TLC show, "Say Yes to the Dress", identifies low income girls in need and offers them an opportunity to have the prom of their dreams. The focus is to help build courage and confidence by improving the girl's self-image. The program, now in its 5th season, partners with local and national merchants for donated prom dresses, shoes, jewelry, makeup and hair. The girls are paired with a personal mentor, a "prom-consultant", who guides them through a day of shopping and pampering. They then get professional hair and makeup done to complement the dress they chose. The day of transformation is finished with a fashion show reveal for the TLC program. Dinair is proud to have participated in this very worthy cause. A huge thank you to the makeup artists that donated their time to help make it possible.
Dinair participated in an event held by CASA LA, Glamour Gowns and Suit Up, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The focus of the event was to help children in the foster system attend their high school prom. In Los Angeles County, there are 17,000 children in foster care. Often, these children only receive necessary items. Glamour Gowns and Suit Up help teens find their perfect prom look through gown, suit and accessory donations. Hair stylists and makeup artists also donate their expertise to help the girls complete their look for their special evening. The aim is to create an overall positive experience and build self-esteem.
